Discovery Bunch-Harold and the Purple Crayon:Under the Sea - Gather around for story time and hands-on learning at the Children's Discovery Museum! This program is designed for children ages 3-5 years old and their adult partner. It is a hot night and Harold cannot sleep, so he grabs his purple crayon and draws a swimming hole. With his dog, Lilac, by his side, Harold finds more than just a way to cool down--he meets fish of every shape and size, and even discovers some pirate treasure! Cost includes program, snack, and Museum exploration for one adult and one child. Program cost: $8 Museum passholder/$11 non-passholder. Parade of Ponds - Central Illinois Watergarden Club will host a pond walk on July 7th from 9:30am - 4pm. There will be 10 ponds available for viewing. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the event. Tickets are sold at area garden shops two weeks prior to the event.
