| August 10, 2007 Illinois Shakespeare Festival - Enjoy Shakespeare under the stars at the nationally renowned Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Experience the intimate atmosphere of historic Ewing Manor and see the Bard's works brought to life. The festival is regarded as one of the top Shakespearean Festivals nationwide. Luau to Benefit Heartland Head Start - For over forty years, Heartland Head Start has served the low-income children of McLean and Livingston Counties by providing pre-school education for 3- to 5-year olds. As well as a quality education, the children also get a hot meal, breakfast, many activities outside school hours where parents are encouraged to become involved with the education of their children. The newly formed “Friends of Heartland Head Start” will be holding their first annual benefit on Friday, August 10th, 2007 featuring entertainment by Patrick Campbell, a silent auction, raffle and door prizes, even a limbo competition at the Clarion Hotel Bloomington, 1219 Holiday Drive beginning at 7pm.
