ISO Cook Book Release |
Date: November 30, 2007 Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm Location: Gregor Studio - 3311 N. Main St The Illinois Symphony Orchestra Guild has announced it's new cookbook. Just in time for holiday giving, "Encore Recipes from the Illinois Symphony Orchestra" features the favorite recipes of Illinois Symphony Orchestra (ISO) supporters -- the recipes that their friends and families ask for time and again. Contributors include great cooks from among the ISO Guild, musicians and friends of the orchestra, and renowned area chefs including Michael Pullin, Lancaster's Restaurant, and the Bloomington Country Club. The recipes reflect many different cooking traditions and the international make-up of the orchestra and the Bloomington-Normal community. In addition, internationally known painter and retired ISU professor Harold Gregor, includes quotes about music and food, and whimsical pairings of food and music by the Illinois Symphony rchestra musicians. Funds raised from the sale of the cookbook will be used to support Illinois Symphony Orchestra rograms for children and families. Encore Recipes will be for sale on Nov. 30th at the studio of Harold Gregor 311 N. Main St. in downtown Bloomington during the Once Upon a Holiday event and on an ongoing basis at the Garlic Press in downtown Normal during regular store hours. Books cost $20.00.
