| Date: August 25, 2007 Time: 10:00am - 10:00pm Location: McLean County Museum of History For the first time in Bloomington/Normal’s history, the McLean County India Association is hosting a one-of-a-kind cultural event called Festival of India. This exciting event will be held at the Museum of History (Washington and Main St. intersection) on August 25, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This event will showcase unique aspects of India’s heritage through cultural displays, depict unique aspects of India’s heritage from different Indian states, Indian food, and Indian entertainment & highlight its diversity. This event will also feature live cultural entertainment including music and dance. For kids, there will be fun activities such as henna (a form of hand painting) and name writing in Indian languages. MCIA has also produced a unique stage performance event called "A Spring Wedding" depicting a typical Indian wedding with music and dance. Most importantly, visitors will get an opportunity to sample India’s most delectable and popular foods! The McLean County India Association (MCIA) & the McLean County Museum of History cordially invites you to be part of this unique visual, auditory, and sensory experience.
