| Date: July 21, 2007 Time: 7:00am Location: Comlara County Park Best of the US (BOUS) Management recently announced that the 2nd Annual Evergreen Lake International Triathlon, taking place July 21, 2007, will be recognized as the 2007 “Best of the US” Illinois Qualifier. The fastest resident amateur male and female finisher at the event will be invited to represent the state at the Best of the US National Championship on October 6, 2007, at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, Florida. The Evergreen Lake International Triathlon is an intermediate distance race that takes place at beautiful Comlara County Park in Hudson, just a short drive north of Bloomington. The event is sponsored by the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission, a division of the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and hosted by Tri-Mom Events, whose sprint distance Tri-Shark Classic served as the state qualifier in 2006.
