| Date: December 23, 2007 Time: 2:00pm - 2:30pm Location: Miller Park Zoo, 1020 S. Morris Avenue, Bloomington Can Reindeer Fly? December 9, 16, and 23 at 2:00 pm: This is the perfect time of year to enjoy an up-close encounter and learn more about reindeer! Please read the attached letter and learn why it is important to come out to Miller Park Zoo to cheer on and visit the reindeer. This reindeer experience is free with regular paid Zoo admission. Mr. Tobias: I have been told by several of my helpers how impressive one of Miller Park Zoo’s reindeer “Ealu” has been. From what I understand, she has been working closely with her Zookeepers, posing for pictures with families, and interacting with Zoo visitors. Each year I try to update my list of reindeer that may be chosen as part of the Christmas Eve flying crew. I have a list of exercises the reindeer need to be able to perform. If the Zookeepers would start to work with her soon, I would like you to test her on these skills, December 16 at 2:00. I will contact you after your evaluation. If all goes as I expect, she may be awarded an official certificate on December 23 at 2:00 - allowing her to be added to the list of reindeer for the Christmas Eve flying crew. As you can imagine, this is very important. Children all over the world count on these magical reindeer. I will send you the list of exercises soon.
