The State Farm Student-Athlete Recognition Banquet recognizes outstanding scholar athletes, coaches, volunteers and organizers in McLean County for their achievements on and off the field.
Awards include Male and Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, Male and Female Athlete of the Year, Sports Event of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Special Olympics Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year (male and female sports) and Team of the Year (male and female sports).
Tickets are $25 and quantities are limited.
2013 RESULTS Awards for the 2013 Banquet were presented in 12 categories to the following winners: - Sports Event of the Year: Illinois Fusion Soccer Spring Shootout
- Volunteer of the Year: Eric Tjarks
- Special Olympics Female Athlete of the Year: Katy Peifer (Olympia)
- Special Olympics Male Athlete of the Year: Drew White (Normal West)
- Female Team of the Year: El Paso-Gridley Girls Basketball
- Male Team of the Year: Bloomington Track & Field
- Coach of the Year, Female Sport: April Schermann (Normal West Softball)
- Coach of the Year, Male Sport: Marty Price (Blue Ridge Soccer)
- Female Scholar Athlete of the Year: Rikka Skillrud (Bloomington)
- Male Scholar Athlete of the Year: Brad Dulee (U-High)
- Female Athlete of the Year: Sarah Bell (Central Catholic)
- Male Athlete of the Year: Randy Heideman (Normal Community)
