The Normal Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the care of over 400 acres of park land, 3.5 miles of linear green space along the Constitution Trail, two pools, numerous softball fields, tennis courts and several playground sites in addition to providing support to a wide range of recreation programs provided by the Town of Normal. Other facilities available for rental include the Normal Theater, Ironwood Golf Course and a Community Activity Center.
The Normal Parks and Recreation Department offers several facilities throughout Normal including Anderson Park & Aquatic Center, Fairview Family Aquatic Center, Champion Fields and 13 miles of the Constitution Trail, a hard-surface, running/biking/rollerblading trail that spans Bloomington-Normal.
Facility Uses: Basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, baseball, running, biking, rollerblading, swimming, tennis, golf and inline hockey.
Additional Facilities: 17 lighted tennis courts, 12-pit lighted horseshoe court, the Childrens Discovery Museum, an outdoor theater, Maxwell Dog Park, Maxwell Disc Golf Course and Ironwood Golf Course.
