Everyone is welcome at the Grand Village of the Kickapoo Park where the Midwest Soarring's buffalo herd resides. Established in 1998 to honor the Kickapoo Tribe that inhabited the land from the mid-1700's until their extensive removal in 1832, the Grand Village of the Kickapoo Park is restoring native crops, plants and grasses. Each summer the Village hosts an Intertribal Pow Wow at the Grand Village of the Kickapoo Park to honor the traditions of the native American people. The park's Veteran's Monument and Informational Center is open year-round.
