Lincoln College was founded in 1865 as Lincoln University. It is the only college or university to be named after Abraham Lincoln during his lifetime. A second campus was established in the Bloomington-Normal area in 1979. Today, students enjoy small classes and apartment suite housing on a 10-acre campus bordered by the Constitution Trail and close to the popular Uptown Normal and Downtown Bloomington districts. A student-centered institution, LCN offers Bachelor's degrees and professional certification programs to more than 500 students through accelerated, full, and parttime study options including day, evening, hybrid and online classes.
