Kicking off the fall season is the classic comedy Arsenic and Old Lace is about two nice old ladies and what happens when they invite lonely old men to taste their elderberry wine.
The murderous old lady plot line may have been inspired by actual events that occurred in a Connecticut house. According to the New York Times, the opening night of this farcical comedy was so funny that none of us will ever forget it.
