Vinyl and Vino is a great opportunity to take a trip back in time by listening to songs that have been the soundtrack to our lives.
From CCR and Pink Floyd, to Michael Jackson and Carole King, the Heartland Community College Cafe will be transformed into an audio time machine.
DJ, Faith Rinker (B104 and WBNQ) encourages attendees to bring their records so she can play your favorite song. Attendees can also share their thoughts about the song and what it means to them by using an open mic.
Last year was the first year for the event. Mindy Kmetz said what she liked best was "to be able to listen to my old vinyl again and reminisce by telling the story behind it."
Wine and Cheese
Guests will also have the opportunity to sample wine provided by Heritage Wine Cellars and cheese from Ropp Jersey Cheese.
In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy wonderful appetizers and deserts prepared by Heartland Community College Chef Scott Rowan. A cash bar with wine and beer is also available.
Community Education Class Registration Discount
For the first time, Community Education representatives will be on hand to offer an on-site only registration discount for members of the HCC Alumni Association who sign up for a class that night.
