Celebrate Bloomington's Lincoln connections and the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War with a weekend of activities at multiple sites. Highlights will include Storyteller Brian Fox Ellis, Civil War generals, infantry and cavalry encampments, performances by the 33rd Illinois Volunteer Regiment Band and the Orpheus Mandolin Orchestra.
Living history interpreters in period dress, including Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln, will be on hand at numerous locations. Children's activities, carriage rides and demonstrations of period craftsmanship will also be features, along with cannon volleys and skirmishes between troops and more. The event is free and open to he public.
