Excitement is building for the Midwest Nationals Wrestling Tournament which is being held July 12, 2014 at Illinois Wesleyan University's Shirk Center in Bloomington. The Midwest Nationals is organized by the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission, Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association, Wrestling Aids and Illinois Coaches Association. Competitors will be matched by weight class in seven different age divisions. Weight classes will be determined at the weigh-in on Friday, July 11 (5-8pm). All wrestlers will also undergo a skin disease screening. Wrestlers must report to the Shirk Center at 8:00am on Saturday, with competition beginning at 9:00am. There were over 900 participants at the 2013 Midwest Nationals Tournament! Those who are interested in participating have until weigh-in on Friday, July 11 to register. Registration forms can be filled out at the Shirk Center prior to weigh-in or downloaded from the website.
