Going Batty! Wednesday, August 25, 6:30 10:30 p.m.
Back by popular demand! Learn about bats and see some up-close at this spectacular program! Joe Kath, Illinois DNR Endangered Species Program Manager, will give a presentation about bats and highlight those that might be caught during the program. Then, we'll use a bat detector and mist-nets to locate and (hopefully!) capture bats feeding along Timber Creek. This program is great for ALL ages! Participants will receive bat related materials and feast on a batty snack! Wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Fee: $5/members, $7/non-members, registration required. For more information or to register, phone 309.874.2174 or email register-sgnc@earthlink.net. Sugar Grove Nature Center is located in beautiful, historic Funks Grove, Illinois just south of Bloomington-Normal off of Old Route 66. For a map and directions to the Nature Center, membership and program information, please visit us on-line at www.sugargrovenaturecenter.org.
