Daddy Dont Leave. It tells the story of two Dillard graduates, Theo and Jackie, who find love and are wed. In the midst of Theos medical practice demands and Jackies stellar law career the young couple have a child and in the spirit of giving back, adopt another. This picturesque marriage, all though meant to last forever, is faced with the calamity of divorce. Jackie and Theo would like to reduce the last 14 years of their life to a distant memory; however their two children think differently.
Inundated with the self imposed guilt of their parents break up, these two innocent bystanders are forced to live with the consequences of their parents actions. This story unveils the importance of marriage, and warns of the dangers of entering into such a covenant reluctantly and without a life time commitment in mind. Told primarily from the childrens point of view, this story helps to expose the ugliness of divorce and the horrendous damage it can inflict on husband and wife, and perhaps more importantly, the children.
