Visitors can meet the animals and see some of the products made from alpaca fiber. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the farm, 16708 E. 400 North Road. Alpacas are cousins to the llama, are native to the Andean Mountain range of South America, particularly Peru, Bolivia and Chile. They are shorn, without harm, every 12 to 18 months and their fiber is used by hand-spinners and fiber artists.
