Matt Hawkins is the Sports Marketing Manager for the Convention and Visitors Bureau and heads the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission. Matt works with the IHSA, ASA Softball, Illinois State, Illinois Wesleyan and others to attract and retain sports events in the Twin Cities.

Matt joined the staff in June 2005 after completing his masters degree program at Illinois State University. While working on his masters degree, he was a Graduate Assistant in the Redbirds Athletic Marketing deparment. Before coming to ISU, Matt graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Augustana College. While attending Augustana College. Hawkins was a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee a pitcher for Augustana Vikings baseball team.

Hawkins' favorite sport is baseball and his favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.
