SEPTEMBER OFFERS FINAL CHANCE FOR
SUMMER FUN IN BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL


BLOOMINGTON, IL - During the month of September, the Bloomington-Normal Area is a busy place as students have returned to both universities and several activities will bring visitors to McLean County.

From sporting events to community festivals and numerous theatrical performances, there’s an event for everyone to enjoy.

The Taste of Country Festival in Lexington on September 10, 11 and 12 offers delicious food, restored antique children’s rides, a juried art show, great arts and crafts, Cushmans and more! Event hours are Friday from 6 - 10 pm, Saturday 9 am - 9:30 pm, and Sunday 10 am - 5 pm. For more details on the event please visit http://www.tocff.org/.















Thirty-five girls soccer teams will head to Bloomington-Normal during the second weekend of September. From Friday, September 10th through Sunday, September 12th, teams from seven states including Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin are slated to compete in the Powerhouse Invitational Soccer tournament. All games are slated for CIS Fields and the Illinois State University soccer field.

Bloomington-Normal welcomes several groups to McLean County in September including: Epsilon Sigma Alpha International leadership meeting at the Chateau, September 11-12th, the Sixth annual Regional Nursing Conference at the Interstate, September 16th, the 11th annual Influential Women Conference presented by the Center for Hope Ministries at the Holiday Inn, September 16-18th, and the Illinois LST Association reunion at the Ramada Hotel, September 30.

Both Illinois State and Illinois Wesleyan Athletic departments offer many exciting home contests.
