The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) is the centerpiece of the City’s new Cultural District. This historic theater (formerly the Scottish Rite Temple) recently underwent a $15 million renovation. Featuring a 1,200-seat auditorium and a multipurpose ballroom, the new BCPA has state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, as well as a variety of improved patron services. Currently presenting its second season of nationally acclaimed touring artists, the BCPA is also home to over 20 area performing arts ensembles. More than 400 performances and community events take place there each year.
