Bloomington-Normal’s second Packard-Designed course, Prairie Vista is one of the most challenging in the Midwest. The 6,745-yard par 72 received a 4-star rating in Gold Digest’s “Places to Play.” With 16 water hazards, a unique “wave bunker,” numerous sand pots and unruly wind conditions which change at a moments notice, this 18-hole course plays differently every day. Prairie Vista sports two-level greens and fairways, lots of sand, lakes, rolling hills, a pro shop, carts, club rental, a snack bar, banquet room and driving range. Prairie Vista Golf Course hosts the IHSA Boys Class A State Golf Tournament each year.
